THE LAST RESORT

A talented hypnotist transports his audience to a seaside resort for the ultimate budget getaway – a five minute experience guaranteed to last a lifetime. The Last Resort imagines a world where real holidays are a thing of the past. Inspired by 'The Last Resort' - Martin Parr’s photography series taken in New Brighton, it stars Hannes Langolf in the central role alongside an intergenerational cast of dancers.

Commissioned by English National Ballet, the film was delivered in partnership with TATE Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Empire Theatre and MDI.

'The Last Resort' was first screened at TATE Liverpool in 2016, as part of their ‘Imagined Museum’ exhibition. It won the Audience Award at Choreoscope Festival, Barcelona 2018
